As we grapple with the Coronavirus pandemic, people are stressed and increasingly anxious because, we don’t know when our lives will go back to normal, because the virus sets the clock for us. As we grapple with the unprecedented pandemic, Nairobi Cool is looking for storytellers who can comfort our anxieties through humour.
As such, we are looking for domestic situational humour. Men and women are not supposed to be in continuous contact, because the resulting friction can start fires impossible to put out. People live in crowded spaces in apartments and slums, where there is no room for personal spaces.
Write to us a story of how you are coping.
- The story has to revolve around how you are coping with the quarantine.
- Words: Maximum 3,000 words.
- Deadline: 24th April 2020
- Stories will be published in Nairobi Cool in May.
Disclaimer: Given the fickle, albeit predictable nature of the virus, the winning story may have to be rewritten to suit the circumstances of the prevailing situations. But the stories will be adjudged accordingly to the circumstances of the next three months.
The most humorous story will win Ksh 20,000.
